Remus Azoitei In Concert At Cadogan Hall

Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra of London returns to Cadogan Hall with a dazzling Christmas Concert programme for the whole family to enjoy.
Following their outstanding debut performance in December 2013, the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra of London returns to Chelsea’s Cadogan Hall for their 2014-2015 series. This festive concert will take place on Friday the 12th December at 7.30 P.M.

This concert will open with the World premiere of Petrie’s Christmas Carol Fantasia that will include well-known carols from across the World in a new arrangement for orchestra. Ravel’s Mother Goose will follow, featuring a collection of colourful miniatures written for different scenes from children’s literature, such as Sleeping Beauty, The Fairy Garden and Little Tom Thumb.

The concert will close with Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto; perhaps the grandest violin concerto of them all, featuring the sweeping melodies and hair-raising climaxes that make Tchaikovsky one of the most loved composers of all time! We are ecstatic that Remus Azoitei will be performing this with us; Remus is professor of violin at the Royal Academy of Music and has performed internationally as a soloist with many leading orchestras, including the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre National de Belgique and Deutsche Kammer Orchester.

Tickets are now on sale at Cadogan Hall and more information about the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra of London can be found on their website.
